How, therefore, can I offer you my father`s diaries which may be of interest to you. He was a Plymothian, Wilfred Stuart Watson, born 27th March 1914 and died 22 August 2002. He worked for the Inland Revenue and left 60+ daily diaries.

I have seen nothing published in the news, on the radio or outside the museum/around Plymouth. I would love to discuss this matter further with a marketing director as it frustrates me greatly to see a great development in Plymouth being so widely ignored and hidden.

The first part of the project is being exhibited at the Mayflower Museum in the Barbican .
The final piece is a depiction of the signing of the Mayflower Compact in the Great Cabin of the Mayflower.
My intention is to use descendants of the signatories as the models for the figures. I have contacted the Mayflower Descendants Society, but have so far not had any replies, although Lee Filson , the Governor, has been very helpful and encouraging . I have just read that there is a list of descendants at The Box. Although you are not “open” yet I am hoping that someone would be able to help me in my quest. My oil painting on canvas (4ft x 5 ft ) is already under way. I anticipate it will take me 4 or 5 months to complete with at least 12 portraits . If I can’t get any descendants to join me in linking the events of 1620 through the centuries to today, I will continue with my own models, but it will spoil the whole ethos of my project. Please help if you can.
