We also hold similar registers for non-conformist (Methodist, Baptist, Unitarian, Congregational and others) chapels and churches and other places of worship (ie Hebrew Synagogue and Society of Friends) in Plymouth, West Devon and East Cornwall.

Church registers in Devon

We hold copies of some of the registers held in Exeter and Barnstaple which have been copied on to microfiche. We can supply copies of entries where full details are supplied (name, full date and church). Please contact the Devon Heritage Centre for full details of the parish registers that they hold.

Church registers in Cornwall

A full set of Bishop’s Transcripts (Baptisms, Marriages and Burials from circa 1550 to circa 1815) is held for the County of Cornwall. We also have microfiche copies of some of the parish registers for East Cornwall and can supply copies where full details of the event are provided. Please contact us for details.

Obtaining copies

Copies of entries from the registers can be provided by post, if the register has been scanned or is available on microfiche/microfilm. Full details for each entry (name, full date and church) must be provided. A maximum of ten entries can be applied for at any one time. Please see our photocopying page for further details.
