See Public Art in the city
We have produced a map and directory to showcase some of Plymouth’s most prominent public art, past and present. The art works featured on this site have all been commissioned by cultural organisations and groups in the city working with artists.
Find an overview of the featured work in the map below, or open the map in a new window (recommended on a phone).
The directory has more detailed information about each featured work. It will be updated as new work is commissioned and includes permanently sited art work as well as an archive of past temporary projects.
Plymouth’s most prominent artworks range from sculptures inspired by Plymouth’s history, sculptures with a functional or playful purpose and a range of socially engaged commissions and a number of trails.
Past temporary artworks have ranged from short term sculptures and commemorative installations, to live performances and socially engaged artworks.
A list of all other public art within the city can be accessed in the Excel spreadsheet below.
