Find out about our latest commission calls for public art opportunities.

Public Realm Intervention: Oceansgate Plymouth

Oceansgate Plymouth (aerial 4)Oceansgate is an exciting new development on the southern
edge of Devonport Dockyard, one of the largest naval
dockyards in Europe.

The site will bring businesses together to create a world-class
hub for marine industries, with opportunities for research,
innovation and production in a collaborative environment.
The existing industrial buildings and docks will be transformed
over three phases to create the first exclusively marine Enterprise Zone in the UK.

Artist Opportunity

Artist impression of phase 1 of the Oceansgate development in PlymouthIn phase 1 of the development, we are seeking expressions of
interest for an imaginative artist intervention in the public space
at the gateway to the campus. The piece will have an important
role in signalling the evolving contribution the former South Yard has made to Plymouth, and the continuum of working skills, on land, in support of maritime endeavour at sea.

Reflecting its pioneering history Plymouth is committed to
supporting new kinds of cultural experiences in the public
realm, and to creating opportunities for artists to respond and
contribute to Plymouth’s built and natural environment, culture
and heritage.
