North Prospect History project

The North Prospect History Project aimed to capture the unique character and history of North Prospect by building a community-led archive that showcases the heritage and its people, during a major regeneration of the area.

The project was instigated by local community group GAS, with the support of Plymouth and West Devon Record Office and Plymouth Community Homes. Three years’ worth of funding was secured from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Along with The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Plymouth Community Homes and Timebank support, we gave further help on the project in May 2015, to display the project’s work in an exhibition. It showcased the work of volunteers and Fotonow who have been documenting the changes across North Prospect over the past three years.
