Smeaton’s Tower is a truly historic building in a unique location, with Plymouth Sound as a stunning backdrop. The Lantern Room and the Entrance Way at Smeaton’s Tower are licensed for civil ceremonies and partnerships, commitment ceremonies, re-affirmation of vows and naming ceremonies.

Ceremonies can be held any day from Monday to Saturday and can start at 11am, 2pm or 2.30pm

Venue charge:
(As from 1 April 2018)
High Season (April to September) – £800
Low Season (October to March) – £600

Venue deposit:
£100 (non-refundable, payable upon booking)

Reaffirmation of marriage vows ceremonies

A reaffirmation of marriage vows ceremony is an opportunity for any married couple to celebrate renewing their marriage vows in a formal way. It could be that you are marking a special wedding anniversary or that you have married abroad and wish to celebrate by allowing family and friends to share the occasion.

Naming ceremonies

A naming ceremony is an opportunity to welcome a child or children into the family and declare your promise to be a good parent in front of family and friends, as well as a way for adults and friends chosen by you to pledge their special relationship with your child or children.
