Trained at Plymouth College of Art, Smart went on to produce some of the most iconic works of the First World War.

This talk is part of the cultural and heritage events, coordinated and funded by Plymouth City Council’s Arts and Heritage Service and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, to take place at the CWGC Plymouth Naval memorial and across venues in Plymouth from 23 August – 19 November 2017.
