Let your imagination set sail, for adventure awaits, on a pioneering theatrical walking tour of Plymouth’s historic Barbican. Step over the cobbles and go back in time, as you are guided through a journey of discovery – encountering some salty characters along the way!
Follow in the footsteps of the people who have helped connect Plymouth to the rest of the world. From Drake’s voyages to the creation of Plymouth Gin; the Bread Riots to Jacka Bakery. This is a story that will take you through hundreds of years of history.
Please be advised that, due to the historic location of the Barbican, there will be some steep steps and uneven walking surfaces. This will be a gentle walk but sensible walking shoes and appropriate clothing are advised!
This is a Plymouth History Centre event delivered in partnership with the Barbican Theatre and written by Jon Nash.
